Derby shoe with three eyelets and plain vamp made in Vegano Leather using French Calf from D’Annonay tannery in cuero color. This model has a calf lining with vegetable tanned leather insoles, finished with single leather closed channel sole to get more elegant finishing and with real leather heel stiffeners, all finished with a leather sole stitched all the way back to the heel to reach a more elegant look.

The sole has a bevelled waist and a narrow stitching which continues in under the heel. The close-cut heels follow the natural line of the shoe. For this model we have chosen our GOYA last in F width. A last with rounded toe, very elegant and extremely comfortable. Made with the Goodyear Welted technique in our own factory in Inca, Mallorca, following traditional techniques by very skillful artisans.

This manufacturing process, of more than 150 steps, consists of a double stitching to join the leather, the insole and the sole providing a level of durability far superior to conventional shoes. This type of construction also provides extraordinary comfort and insulation, thanks to the natural cork layer placed under the insole, which allows it to be molded as it acquires the anatomy of each foot.

Shoe care

  • Brush the shoe to remove any dust or dirt.
  • Apply a small amount of Pâte De Luxe with a cotton chamois cloth or the Spreading Brush to reach the welt seams and enable nourishment and protection of this delicate area.
  • Massage gently to allow Pâte De Luxe to nourish and provide maximum protection to the leather.
  • Apply one or two coats of Pâte De Luxe to the entire shoe.
    Leave to dry for five minutes between coats.
  • Gently polish the leather with a bristle brush or a wool glove.
  • For a high-gloss finish, apply additional coats to the toe and heel. Avoid over-application to the vamp of the shoe because excessive movement can crack the wax coating.

I've had these as my first TLB pair for a while now so I feel confident writing a review. The kind of shoe I was looking for is one that can be dressed down really easily but doesn't sacrifice sleekness and elegance, and I think I really found a perfect fit for that purpose. Shoes that look similar to this seem very uncommon. I think I've only seen them in the super price ranges.
I usually hate how derby shoes look until I saw these. Having only 3 pairs of eyelets really fixes the ugliness of the standard derby look in my opinion. This paired with the super high quality material and goya last I'm very pleased. I am very thankful TLB readily sells size 5. I often have a problem purchasing shoes small enough, and this way I don't have to settle for less. Very comfortable as well. Soft and flexible day one though they continue to improve with more wear.
